In this hands on, experimental workshop, we will explore the world of water-based media and new ways of working with a variety of studio materials. Jazz will guide you through a series of techniques, as we create a working journal full of color charts, mini trials/demos and experiments to document your progress.  During these 5 weeks we will push the capabilites of what our materials can do as we work from still life and from meditation-inspired prompts. This fun class will include demonstrations, mindful exercises, drawing warm-ups, and helpful critiques. We will manifest some of our favorite experiments into completed works. Come with a playful spirit!

Please bring a journal with watercolor paper. Journals made with 100% cotton paper are best for water media, but they can get pricy. Journal size depends on what you prefer.  I like a landscape journal 5”x8” or a square. If you have one you are already working…
